Persol meets ultimate French clothing brand A.P.C.
Together with A.P.C. an exclusive reinterpretation of the 649 is born in three colours.
Originally designed in 1957 for tram-drivers, the 649 became legendary when Marcello Mastroianni wore it in Divorce, Italian Style in 1961. Today, it features as part of the A.P.C Spring Summer 2020 collection.
The first ever collaboration that reinterprets the iconic 649 in three exclusive new acetate colours.
“I really enjoy wearing sunglasses when it is sunny outside.
These ones can be used to simply bare with the simple every day light, just like Kurt Cobain had to.
He has become the inspiration for those white frames the venerable Maison Persol agreed to do with us.”
— Jean Touitou, Founder of A.P.C
